The fields of competence of TECHNICATOME S.A. are:
• Prime contractorship, from design through to manufacture, of naval nuclear steam supply systems (Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, SNLE, SNA and SNLE-NG submarines, future programs, land-based prototypes).
• Design, prime contractorship and manufacture of nuclear research tools, experimental reactors and test installations (Osiris, Siloe, Cabri, Phebus reactors, future reactors).
• Expertise in the processing, conditioning and storage of nuclear waste and dismantling (Tchernobyl, Brennilis, UP1).
• Design and manufacturing of reliable systems for harsh environments (mastery over technologies, complex components and systems, inflight destruction device telecommand system in case of launch abort for ARIANE IV and V, secure location systems for the SNCF, operating parameter recorder for the RATP, etc.).
From the human resources viewpoint, the personnel are mainly engineers and technicians (80% of the total workforce).
From the technical viewpoint, apart from its test, qualification and training installations, TECHNICATOME possesses powerful facilities for computer-assisted design/computer-assisted drawing and scientific calculations using dedicated codes developed by the CEA and TECHNICATOME. |
